THe "Kiss me I'm a Pirate" lady was actually thrilled to see your son being happy at having a place where playing was made possible. She's my sister and we have several family members who are special needs and never had the same opportunity. So the negative 'tude you are spewing is appearance based only. Did you bother to say "hello"? No. You just assumed she was gawking.

I guess that's one problem with being stared at--you don't know what the person is thinking; all you see is them looking at you. It stings as a parent to see your child being stared at, and you think of what it must feel like for them to be stared at all the time. Having relatives with disabilities, maybe you have had the same feeling. I will take down your sister's photos. How in the world did you find this blog anyway??? I didn't think ANYONE read it.
